Session report.
Lovely session with the group this morning, lots of fantastic energy and creativity on show. They should be proud of themselves.
Just wanted to send over a few pictures and videos from the session to give you a flavour of the activities the group are currently undertaking.
Tommy and Aiden were fantastic today and fully focused on the DJ side of our workshop, exploring creative DJ effects and tricks such as cutting, beat rolls and cue points. Both have a real natural flare for DJing, and like our other DJ stars Ashton and Riley on Wednesday's group, they are progressing very nicely towards an AQA accreditation. The boys were also very encouraging towards Grace, getting her involved as she too has shown lots of interest in the DJ activities.
Nathan was absolutely incredible today. We paired him up with our in-house tutor Peter, and they worked together to create some brilliant covers of Oasis and Green day. They also spent some time looking at more advanced chord structures, and I believe next week they are going to professionally record one of these covers. Nathan is so much more confident than when we first met him, and its lovely to see.
Atiff and Ziyaan were in great spirits today and spent most of their time in the live performance room practicing various songs and raps.
Really positive session and we could not be happier with both groups progress.
